A Short Description:

This is my personal blog but it’s also the place where I share the stuff that I’m doing and learning.  I’m a Youth Pastor, Musician, Adventurist, Husband, and Father.  In general I use this blog to point out things that I’m learning. Hopefully as you read here you will see how I’ve figured some stuff out and maybe it’ll help you.

Who am I is a great questions. I’m a guy who grew up on Lancaster, California.  I am the second child of 4 and I am a stereotypical middle child, I am loud and love attention.  I am a very family oriented person and love my family.  I like coffee a lot, and recently my wife has been turning me into a tea lover as well. I value quality time with people and I love a good book.

After graduating from high school I headed to Azusa Pacific University to seek out a music degree and career, but little did I know that God had a different plan for me.  After a year at APU it became apparent to me that Youth Ministry was what was in store for me.  So I changed my major and began to seek out what a life of ministry would look like.

After graduating, I got a job as the Associate Director of Youth Ministry at First Presbyterian Church of Burlingame.

While studying at APU, I met a lovely young lady name Whitney, who after a few months, I started dating.  I quickly found that this woman was too good to let go.  So I threw a ring on her finger and in 2011 we tied the knot.

On December 26, 2014 our son Isaiah joined our family and he has been a delight since.

Here’s My Mini Resume:

Education: I graduated from Desert Christian High School  in 2006 I went to Azusa Pacific University and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Youth Ministry with an emphasis in Church Ministry.

Work: I currently work at Kent Covenant Church in Kent, WA as the Middle School Pastor.  I workly closely along the high school pastor, Ruby Varghese.

Previously, I worked at First Presbyterian Church of Burlingame in Burlingame, CA as the Director of High School Ministries alongside another great Youth Director, Ray Medina. I have also interned with Younglife in the Greater Pasadena Area, and helped with a church plant in Long Beach called Freedom Church.
